The camp, open for a mere five weeks in the summer, offers kayaking and whale-watching trips. (Look for the 2,000 belugas that migrate into nearby Cunningham Inlet starting in mid-July.) The 56-kilometre Northwest Passage Ultramarathon on August 10 is one way to get your explorer’s legs. The less ambitious can tackle the half- or the regular marathon.
